Pharmaceutical chemistry is the study of fundamental life-related pharmaceutical substances and their chemical interactions with life, with organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, analytical chemistry, and biochemistry serving as a foundation upon which a wide range of research fields are built.
The pharmaceutical chemistry department effectively prepares students to integrate all areas of chemistry into various pharmaceutical and medical sciences research. Each laboratory in the pharmaceutical chemistry department is involved in drug discovery and development research.
