Mr. B. Ramachandiran, Chairman, Sri Venkateshwaraa Medical College Hospital and Research Center, founded the Ramachandra Educational Trust to propagate the importance of literacy among rural population. Then identifying the need for a good hospital in the locality, the trust established multi-speciality hospital in 2005 with 750 beds and amenities by our beloved chairman Group of institutions running under Ramachandra Educational Trust Mr. B. Ramachandiran, Chairman, SriVenkateshwaraa group of institutions.

Taking another significant step ahead, the institution introduced the under graduate course in medicine in the year 2007. Indirani College of Nursing with under graduate and Post Graduate nursing courses was added to the offering in 2009. Further in 2010 the Institution diversified its course offering with the introduction of Para medical courses such as BPT, B.Sc. MLT. With a firmer footing in medical education, 2012 saw the addition of Post graduate courses in Medicine and Nursing along with a nursing Diploma.

With the systems in place and smooth day today administration, the Institution has got immediate approval for starting of Engineering courses. A Bachelor in Dental Sciences is also being offered since 2014.

So far keeping with the tradition of excellent academic result in the field of medical education and other paramedical courses, in 2018 Pharmacy course was started with intake of 60 students in D.Pharmwith the approval of Pharmacy Council of India. In the year 2019, B.Pharm was started with intake of 100 students.
