PHARMACOGNOSY

Pharmacognosy is an applied discipline that studies the physical, chemical, biochemical, and biological aspects of natural medications, as well as the discovery and standardisation of novel pharmaceuticals. It is a fundamental connection between the Ayurvedic and Allopathic systems of medicine, and it is one of the core disciplines in the whole pharmacy curriculum, such as the D.Pharm and B.Pharm programmes. The Department of Pharmacognosy actively teaches students in-depth knowledge of Pharmacognosy and herbal drug technologies.
