In both outpatient and inpatient pharmacies, the students are exposed to a variety of practical components, including sterile preparation, compounding, storage, requisition, and prescription processing. The theory taught in hospital and community pharmacy courses is reinforced by this training, which also helps students understand the difficulties faced in a pharmacist’s day-to-day job. The training that the students receive in the administration of prescriptions and medications helps them become more proficient in counter service and communication. They also gain familiarity with brand names, generic names, drug names, dosage, frequency, and length of use, among other information.
