Drug Abuse Prevention Committee
The institution is committed to promoting a healthy, safe, and drug-free campus environment. The Drug Abuse Prevention Committee has been established to create awareness, prevent substance abuse, and provide guidance and support to students and staff.
Objectives of the Committee
- To prevent the use and abuse of drugs, alcohol, and other harmful substances on campus
- To create awareness about the health, social, and legal consequences of substance abuse
- To promote a culture of healthy living and responsible behavior
- To identify and support individuals at risk through counseling and guidance
- To ensure strict enforcement of anti-drug policies within the institution
Roles and Responsibilities
- Organize awareness programs, seminars, and campaigns on drug abuse prevention
- Conduct workshops on mental health, stress management, and healthy lifestyle practices
- Monitor campus premises to prevent the use or distribution of drugs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and external agencies for expert sessions
- Provide counseling support and refer students to professional help when required
- Take appropriate action against violations as per institutional rules
